Dolly Noire ✕ Hell Raton ✕ AVSI

A special collaboration between DollyNoire, Hell Raton and AVSI - an organization founded in 1972 that operates in more than 150 countries and works on projects for the education, recovery and support to the growth of youngsters and adolescents born in poor and complicated realities - is available from today. The T-shirt, featured within the SS19 Madiba collection, is dedicated to a project supporting Ugandan children.

This charity initiative by Dolly Noire starts right from Africa: last February in fact Daniele Crepaldi, brand manager of Dolly Noire, and HellRaton, founding artist of Machete group and Hellmuzik project, were in Uganda for a week. The rapper, producer and DJ was returning there for the third time but this time with an extra challenge: the purpose of the trip, in fact, was to collect typical sounds of the mainland in order to include them in a special DJ set that would serve as entertainment for an event in the Dolly Noire store. Having set out with the intention of exploring another world and finding inspiration in nature, in unknown landscapes, the boys also came into contact with realities that are strongly committed to the community, who try every day to improve the living conditions of so many less fortunate people.

Joining them on the trip was photographer Roberto Graziano Moro, who took the shot featured on the T-shirt, and Machete's in-house videomaker Stefano Boen. During the journey they filmed the documentary "SOUND OF AFRICA" shot by Stefano Boen, which tells the story of Dolly Noire and Hell Raton's experience in Africa, ranging from searching for sounds to discovering AVSI's activities and meeting firsthand the children cared for by the association.

After finding inspiration and exploring a wonderful place, Dolly Noire decided to make a commitment to give something back to the community. Thus, the AVSI Tee project was born with a mission: each T-shirt will be sold at the symbolic price of €31.20, as €312 is the amount needed to adopt an African child from a distance for one year. Dolly Noire will donate the entire income from the sale to charity, to AVSI, so that every 10 T-shirts sold will allow a child to be adopted from a distance.
